About

I write about law and business for my day job, but in my spare time I’m studying for a PhD in 1650s culture, so this blog is a way of thinking out loud as I negotiate my way through the Interregnum. It won’t all be early modern musings, as I’ll be writing a lot about current London theatre, art and culture too.

Parthenissa, by the way, is the eponymous heroine of a 1651 heroic romance by Roger Boyle.

Any suggestions of blogs to follow or links to relevant articles will be gratefully received. And if there are any problems with copyright of photos used, particularly of theatre reviews, please let me know.

I tweet at @thelawyercatrin.
